Novelmint is a product of TeamLesh LLC, a Washington State corporation.
Novelmint exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) interface that lets AI assistants and agentic clients drive the platform programmatically. This policy describes the fair-use allowance that applies to MCP-initiated work, on every plan.
Your plan includes a monthly bundle of AI assistant usage — the same bundle shown on the pricing page and in Account › Usage. MCP-initiated work and Minty chat draw from that one bundle. There is no separate MCP quota to track: whichever way you choose to work, you are spending the same allowance, and the usage bar reflects the total.
Usage is measured by what the work actually costs us to run, not by how long you were connected or how many calls you made. Time spent idle with a client open costs nothing. A short request that triggers a large amount of generation costs more than a long conversation that triggers little. This replaced an earlier wall-clock measure, which charged a minute of cheap work and a minute of expensive work identically.
Work you do in the web app does not draw the allowance. On Unlimited, in-app pipeline use remains genuinely unlimited, exactly as the plan describes. Reading operations over MCP — listing books, fetching a timeline, retrieving a chapter — do not draw it either, because the reasoning behind those calls happens in your own AI client at your own cost, not on our infrastructure.
Reaching it does not stop your work. Further MCP-initiated generation draws from your credit balance at standard rates — the same way credits work throughout the platform — and in-flight work completes normally. You are notified the first time this happens in a given period. The allowance resets at the start of each calendar month (UTC).
If your credit balance cannot cover an MCP-initiated operation once you are past the allowance, that operation returns an insufficient-credits error rather than running unpaid. You can top up at any time, or wait for the allowance to reset.
Separately from the allowance, MCP accepts up to 60 tool calls per minute (UTC). Requests beyond that rate within a single minute return a rate-limit error and may be retried in the following minute. This prevents short-window flooding and is unrelated to how much of your allowance remains.
When a seat is assigned to you by a Platinum partner through the Partner Sponsorship programme, the allowance applies per seat — your seat has its own bundle, independent of other seats your sponsor manages. Credit overflow draws from your own credit balance, not your sponsor’s; if you exhaust your credits, your sponsor may choose to gift more.
MCP access is provided to support creative workflows. Sustained automated or scripted usage that exceeds typical human creative patterns — including but not limited to operating multiple accounts in coordination to circumvent the allowance, deliberately spacing requests to evade detection, or using MCP to harvest content at scale — may result in account review under the Terms of Service. Novelmint reserves the right to throttle, suspend, or revoke MCP access for accounts that exceed reasonable creative use, regardless of subscription tier.
Novelmint may adjust the allowance, the burst rate, or the credit-overflow pricing with reasonable notice. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use of MCP after a change constitutes acceptance.
