“No. The healer was with her. And the detective.”
“How long?”
“Barely ten minutes. Barefoot, without any clear purpose.”
“What did she do?”
“She observed nature. Ran her hands through the grass. Picked herbs. Watched a bird.”
“Language?”
“Incomprehensible. Very quiet. Possibly an old dialect. We have a recording.”
“Any approaches from outsiders? Mailman? Passersby? The pastor?”
“No. She is shielded.”
“Then we continue to observe.”

“No. More closely. She cannot be allowed to slip away from us.”
