Half his life was in the same place, same pace and same setting. Getting accused of something that he didn't dare to do but now it's finally the day he had planned all his years for.

"Ethan," his name stretched throughout the narrow hallway.

He's known everywhere within the territory, the calm but strong guy, no one takes his weakness as a joke. You joke with it and he gives you reasons why you should kill yourself.

He jolted up from the stacked brick he was on, he walked closer to the iron bars.

"Free day it is!" The uniformed man chuckled.

Ethan's lips didn't dare flick, his face stretched looking towards one direction. His teeth gritted.

"Out," the man's expression darkened for a second.

Ethan's face slightly shifted. A grin spread through his face.

Five years stuck behind those iron bars and treated like trash for something he barely got to know about all because of a single cause of love.

His feet dragged out slowly like he was being forced to do something.

"You better walk faster or remain behind those doors," the uniformed man voiced with an anger-laced voice.

Ethan scoffed. He pushed both his hands into his orange cell uniform.

"Hey Ethan, remember you got our back," the words echoed through the cell walls. Ethan's face straightened with dark expression.

His eyes moved without his head moving.

He walked out the damp cell walls into the open space.

"Any family members?" he asked picking up a pair of neat dress.

"None," he smiled.

It wasn't uncommon.

All his life he lived that without them even caring about anything concerning about him. Marriage still worked the same for him.

A useless wife, and a wicked in-law who saw him as nothing but a mere church rat. Life wasn't exactly what he had planned it to be.

His feet dragged to the closet, he faced the wall for minutes, rethinking about his life. Every single thing that has pushed him.

Suffering for a crime that he never committed for a single day. He hated life more than the way life tested him back.

Five years ago, he was led into these cell walls with heavy chains buckled around his wrist. The court charged him for killing but no one knows who did it. All blame was pushed to him. He was poor and a low life, who wouldn't believe.

He let out a heavy sigh. "At least, I'm done here."

He pushed the trousers for a better fit, pushing the belt across his waist area.

"Ain't you done already?" one of the police officers asked.

He hurried as soon as he could.

He walked out, with a proper dress this time, looking all good.

"Nice fit," one of the policemen giggled, hitting against his shoulders.

"Thank you," he forced a smile across his face.

His hand went down into his pocket.

"Okay, follow me," one of the policemen ordered with a stern expression.

Ethan followed closely with a straight expression.

The heavy cell gate went wide open, he walked out for the very first time in over 5 years.

"There's a little cash in your pants, use it to get yourself a better life."

Ethan looked at the police man for a second, a smile spread through his face, he walked closer to him, clearing the space for a brief hug.

"Thanks, man," he sniffed.

"It's nothing, just get yourself a better life."

Ethan smiled at him.

The man nodded and walked back into the station.

Ethan stood in the middle of the street, looking around, from left to right.

He smiled for a second, then a frown.

This was a new chapter for his life. And one goal was sure. He wasn't going back into the same people that made him shed blood instead of tears he wasn't going back to the people that wished him bad and enjoyed his suffering.

This time he has to show them who the real boss is.

All his plans and ideas that he hid to himself for the 5 years he stayed behind those bars were about to ignite.

"Tsk... I'm Ethan Smith and I shall prove to everyone I have worth."

He walked down to the nearest bus stop. He stood there, with no destination in mind. Just a mindset to accomplish something, even though that thing takes him forever.

"Ethan." An unfamiliar voice called from behind, he turned immediately.

It was an unfamiliar face.

"Do you know me?" His expression darkened.

The middle-aged woman walked closer to him, with a smile. A kind of smile that feels like she has accomplished something.

"Yes, but you might not know me!"

He backed a bit.

"You might be mistaking me for someone else."

"I'm definitely not." She smiled, closing the gap between them. "Ex-husband to Clara Sam."

Clara, the name he hadn't heard in over 5 years. The name that sealed him up. The name that sent crashing and odd memories.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"Someone that might be of great help to you!"

He chuckled in a form of mockery.

"I don't need anybody's help, madam, and I don't know any Clara Sam."

He jolted up from the chair, he dragged his feet slowly across the street.

His blood boiled at the call of that name.

"Ethan, you can't run away from your destiny" His feet paused at the word.

"Destiny" He turned back with rage and boiling anger. "You don't even know me!"

"But I know you inherited a family fortune that can change your life for good."
