Book 3 is a standalone that starts of the events of Sergeant Gavin Anderson, a Mobile Response Sergeant of the City Watch. He and his squad are managing routes during the busiest day of the year, the Midsummer Festival, when suddenly, The Sun Curdles. How does he respond?
The Captain may be absent.
The Crown may be unreachable.
The Cathedral may have sealed itself.
The old city may barely exist.
But the Watch remains.
