Gustav Blömke
9/13từ Murder at the Golden Anchor bởi Birgit C. Wolgarten
He's weathered every storm the sea could throw at him — but the one brewing inside the Golden Anchor might finally catch him off guard.
I sell fish — good fish, fresh fish, whatever Feddersen says to the contrary — and I've been doing it long enough to know the difference between a man who has a genuine complaint and one who just enjoys the sound of his own grumbling. My hands are rough, my cap is older than some of the cooks I deal with, and I'll tell you plainly what I think before you've finished asking. That's the Blömke way, and it's served me well enough so far.
Danh tính
Ngoại hình & Thực tế
Fishmonger supplying the Golden Anchor restaurant. The older of the two Blömke men and father of Johann Blömke. Wears a black peaked cap that is worn and greasy with dark stains; his coat is covered in animal hairs. Has broad fingers with rough, salt-reddened skin from a lifetime of fishing and fish-selling. He twists his cap between his hands when nervous.
Nội tâm
Mẫu hành vi
Engaged in a persistent, cyclical quarrel with cook August Feddersen over the quality and freshness of his fish — a ritual Gustav understood as routine commercial negotiation rather than genuine conflict. Speaks plainly and without pretension. Calm under provocation but visibly tightens his grip when insulted. Uses dry humour and pragmatic logic. Responds to new information with brief, expressive reactions — a whistle, a grin, a widened eye. Offers unsolicited blunt remarks about social pretension, particularly aimed at Frieda Ankermann.
Giọng văn
Giọng nói & Biểu đạt
Speaks in short, direct sentences. Unsentimental but not unkind. Swears softly under his breath when angered.
