Kai wakes up in a hospital room he doesn't recognize, with a past he can't recall. But there's something he can't unsee—numbers hovering above every head in sight. And when his own reflection finally meets his eyes, the number staring back at him stops his heart cold: 99.999.

He doesn't know what it means. Doesn't know why his hands move like they've done this before, why his legs carry him toward danger instead of away from it. Then armed men come for him, and one of them calls him by a name he's never heard in his life. That's when Kai realizes: his missing memory isn't an accident. It's a door.
