你是从什么时候开始写作的？又是什么契机让你走上这条路？
我写作已有多年，从2025年开始正式出版作品，这是基于一个跨越30年的项目。疯狂的东西。
你在哪里写作？那个空间是什么样的？
我经常在笔记本电脑上或办公室工作间隙写作。我花很多时间在OneNote或Word里整理想法，或者琢磨书籍、章节、情节线索等的节奏。我的思想总是围绕着这些书。
有什么事是你现在知道、但希望刚开始写作时就明白的？
不要相信说会帮你的人。尤其是那些要求你先付钱的。事情不是那样运作的。我的痛苦就是你的收获。
你目前在创作什么？
我在创作我第一部重要小说《凋零的王冠》的后续作品。标题是《空王座》。在亚马逊上出版。我还在创作第二部作品，暂定名为《永恒》。不同的类型，完全不同的感觉。每部书可能都会在2027年面世。最后还有一部作品是我的
如果读者喜欢你的书，他们还会喜欢哪些书或剧集？
I'm a huge fan of the Expanse tv show. I also love Battlestar Galactica and all of the latest Star Wars projects (Andor, Maul, Bad Batch, etc....) You will see influences of their work in mine.
你最喜欢哪个角色，为什么？
Peri Blackwood from my Blood & Steel series is my favorite to write. She is just conflicted and full of action. Unlike modern productions, I keep things within reality. She is capable of many things, but she has limits.
你是如何构建故事世界的？
This is a tough one to answer simply. My storybook world started back in the 90's. It was originally a high fantasy world that transitioned to a grounded fantasy world, scifi world, to a dystopian modern world. I spent a lot of time building the political background of the landscape, building maps with Wonderdraft, creating characters, factions, themes, everything that you can imagine... and it waited until I finally had the courage to do something with it. For those wondering what to do, keep sculpting until it feels right. It will click when you have it.
哪一场戏是最难写的？
For me, the hardest scene to write is the scenes that move the plot forward, but have no real value. I'll explain. In my second book, I have an event that has to be seeded correctly in order for it to pay off as intended. That seed starts somewhere and is nursed somewhere else to keep the reader aware of it. I'm not drawing attention to it, but it is there. Sometimes a scene may only exist to highlight that one narrative. Which could be a failure if I don't tie a few more threads into it. Actions scenes, confrontational scenes, emotional scenes are all easy for me. But things that propel a book forward, can be a slight challenge.

You have no idea how many things are hidden in plain sight. The last thing I hate is shoehorning in an idea at the last minute without proper setup.
你有没有写死过一个深受读者喜爱的角色？
Josh Whedon has nothing on me. I'm awful.
你是如何修改初稿的？
This is the hard part. Revising for me is where AI comes in. To help me understand what is working, what doesn't work, where my grammar fails, continuity checks, etc... A story bible helps, to make sure everything is followed correctly.
AI 在你的创作流程中扮演什么角色，哪些地方不适合用？
AI helps me smooth out ideas and help revise my work. AI does not create the ideas or create the work. I have a rule on that. When working with a limited budget, you do what you can.
你为什么选择现在这种出版方式？
Money. I had to turn to self-publishing because I didn't have the money to go with proper cover artists, formatting, and editors. I had to learn it all on my own. All I wanted to do was write.
你会对即将完成第一本书的写作者说什么？
Finish it. Let it sit for a bit.. come back and read it and make sure it flows correctly. Writers get blind to their own work. They only see what is in their head as they read. Someone coming in cold does not have that context.
