Where Novelmint works

Reading, buying credits, writing and publishing work from almost anywhere: paying for credits needs an accepted card, and card acceptance follows the card rather than the cardholder. Withdrawing what you earn is the narrower question, and language is a third question again. This table answers all three, country by country.

Two rails carry author payouts. Stripe Connect pays you in your own currency, and reaches the US, UK, EEA, Canada and Switzerland, because Novelmint is operated from the US. Everywhere else is paid through Wise: 32 countries in their own currency, India, Mexico, Nigeria and the Philippines among them, and every other country in US dollars by international wire. Wise charges a flat $7.28 for that wire, taken out of the payment, and the banks that carry an international wire deduct their own fees on the way, which Wise does not quote and we cannot see. Payouts go out automatically once your balance reaches $50, so that the cost of moving money stays a small share of what moves. That is a default, not a floor: you can raise or lower it, and you can cash out a smaller balance whenever you choose.
