Writing & Publishing
- How do authors earn money?
- Authors earn 70% of each chapter unlock. Earnings accumulate as author balance and are paid out through Stripe Connect or Wise bank transfer, automatically each week or whenever you cash out.
- Can I publish my own writing on Novelmint?
- Yes. Novelmint is designed for authors who want to write, generate, or co-write serial fiction with AI assistance. You retain rights to your work.
- What content is allowed?
- Novelmint supports G, PG, and M rated content. Explicit adult content (X-rated) is not permitted. Authors must accurately rate their work during publication.
- Can I import an existing manuscript?
- Yes. The book import flow accepts existing manuscripts and converts them into the Novelmint chapter format, preserving your voice and structure.
- How much of my novel is allowed to be AI-written?
- There is no limit and no percentage rule. Some authors here write every word by hand and use AI only for brainstorming and feedback; others generate all of the prose and the world-building documents with it. Novelmint is an AI-positive platform and the amount of help you take is entirely your decision. What we do ask is that you rate your work accurately and stay inside the content rules.
- Can I publish under a pen name?
- Yes, and you can have as many as you like. Pen names are called Personas. Each Persona carries its own bio, links to your social profiles, and an optional Interview you fill in yourself. The bio and the Interview are both translated automatically into all 21 languages Novelmint hosts, and an approved public Interview earns that Persona a one-time gift of 200 credits for use in the Studio.
