Many will wonder why. Well, to me, even though she isn't precisely the protagonist, in this story she is without a doubt the most fascinating character. When she entered the plot I wanted her to show how strong women can be, an imposing guardian, but as she developed I couldn't keep her that way. She came to life, she became human: she weeps inconsolably, laughs, plays, falls in love, she is fragile, and many times impulsive, picking up a pistol, a dagger, kicking down a door, leading a squad of hard men, two completely opposite traits, and that is where Diego comes in, who is like her catalyst, he allows her to find her balance, an ordinary and practical young man, quite capable and he adapts easily to circumstances, but he is very far from Súsan's charisma. I like it that way: she complements him, she gives him what he lacks and subtracts his excess. To me they make a perfect couple. I don't describe the secondary characters simply because they are a bit more of the same: betrayal, envy, lack of ethical values, predictable traits that have been written about so much.
